Land Art Penghu
The art festival highlights the landscapes of Penghu’s inner seas through the three sites of battle ruins, industries of the past, and life in the villages, thus allowing people to come face to face with the interaction between cultural and natural boundaries and landscapes and witness the dialog between nature, culture and history.

Penghu is relatively flat and surrounded by crashing waves and howling winds year round. This harsh climate and environment has carved out its persevering yet humble island characteristics. And under the unrelenting ocean and windy conditions, the traces of people’s lives, the fishing harbor, the villages, the walled food gardens, military ruins and traditional industries- have formed the unique scenic landscapes of Penghu.
